Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Paceo iOS app and website ("the Service"). Paceo ("we", "our", or "us") is operated as a sole trader established in Lebanon. For any legal or privacy matter, contact support@paceo.co. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Please read the sections on health, assumption of risk, and limitation of liability carefully, because they limit our obligations to you and describe risks you take on yourself.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use Paceo. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping access to your email account secure, since signing in to Paceo happens through codes sent to that address. One account is for one person; don't share it.

Paceo Is Not Medical Advice

Paceo is a general fitness and nutrition information tool. It is not a medical device, it is not a healthcare service, and it has not been evaluated or approved by any medical regulator.
  • Everything Paceo shows you, including training plans, calorie and macro targets, readiness indicators, and coach responses, is general information calculated from data you supply. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a prescription.
  • Using Paceo does not create a doctor-patient, dietitian-client, or any other professional relationship between you and us. We are not your physician, dietitian, physiotherapist, or trainer, and we do not supervise your training.
  • Nothing Paceo produces is a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional who knows your medical history. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something Paceo showed you.
  • Paceo is not for emergencies. If you think you are having a medical emergency, stop using the Service and contact your local emergency number immediately.

Medical Clearance and Conditions Requiring Care

You should consult a physician before starting or changing any training or nutrition program. By using the Service you represent that you have done so, or that you have decided not to and accept the consequences of that decision, and that you are in good enough health to take part in physical exercise.

Speak to a doctor before using Paceo, and do not rely on it in place of clinical supervision, if any of the following apply to you:

  • Heart, circulatory, respiratory, metabolic, or blood-pressure conditions, or any condition affecting your ability to exercise safely
  • Diabetes, or any condition or medication that affects how you should eat
  • A current or previous eating disorder, or any history of disordered eating or compulsive exercise
  • Pregnancy, recent pregnancy, or breastfeeding
  • Injury, surgery, or a period of medically advised rest
  • Any medication whose effect could be changed by exercise or by eating differently

Calorie and macro targets produced by Paceo are general estimates, not clinical prescriptions. Do not use the Service to pursue a body weight or an energy intake that a qualified professional has advised against, and do not eat below medically accepted minimum intakes.

Assumption of Risk

Physical exercise carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated, including muscle and joint injury, heat illness, fainting, cardiac events, serious permanent injury, and in rare cases death. Changing what you eat carries its own risks. These risks exist however carefully a program is designed.
  • You take part voluntarily and you knowingly and freely assume all of these risks. You are solely responsible for deciding whether any session, exercise, load, or nutrition target is appropriate for you on the day, and for how you perform it.
  • You are responsible for your own technique, equipment, environment, warm-up, and supervision, none of which Paceo can observe or control.
  • Stop immediately and seek medical help if you feel chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness, unusual fatigue, or pain that is not ordinary training discomfort. Never continue a prescribed session because Paceo scheduled it.
  • If a plan, target, or suggestion feels wrong for your body, do not follow it. You always have the final say, and you are expected to use it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release us from claims arising out of injury, illness, or loss resulting from your participation in physical activity or from dietary changes you make while using the Service. This does not affect liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Accuracy of the Information You Provide

Everything Paceo calculates depends on what you tell it: your height, weight, age, sex, activity level, goals, and the training and meals you log. If that information is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, the results will be too. Keeping it accurate is your responsibility, and we are not liable for outcomes that follow from information you entered incorrectly.

Nutrition and Food Data

Paceo's food catalogue includes entries from Open Food Facts, a free community-maintained database, alongside foods and recipes you create yourself. This data is contributed by the public and is not verified by us.
  • Calorie, macronutrient, serving size, and product information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, including for products found by barcode scan.
  • Paceo does not provide allergen information and must never be used to decide whether a food is safe for you to eat. If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or any medical dietary restriction, always read the physical product packaging and consult your doctor. Do not rely on anything in Paceo for that purpose.
  • Nutrition figures are estimates for general tracking. They are not suitable for clinical use, such as managing a medical condition or calculating medication doses.

AI Features

The in-app coach and connected AI assistants generate responses automatically using large language models. Their output is not reviewed by a human before you see it, and it has not been clinically validated.
  • AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or internally inconsistent, and can state incorrect things confidently. It is provided for information only.
  • You are responsible for evaluating any suggestion, plan, or figure before acting on it, and for applying your own judgment and professional advice where it matters.
  • The sections above on medical advice, medical clearance, assumption of risk, and nutrition data apply in full to everything the AI produces.

Subscriptions and Free Trials

Paceo is a paid service offered as an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store, currently as monthly or yearly plans. Where a free trial is offered, you get full access for the trial period; when it ends, the subscription starts and your App Store account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings; access continues until the end of the period already paid.
  • Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Refund requests go through Apple, not us.
  • Prices are set per App Store region and include local taxes where applicable, so the price in your country may differ from the price quoted elsewhere on this site. The price shown in the app at the moment of purchase is the price that applies.
  • Prices may change. Changes never apply retroactively and take effect at your next renewal, with notice beforehand.
  • Promotional or offer codes may carry their own conditions and expiry.

Your Content

You own the data you put into Paceo: workouts, meals, measurements, everything. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that data in order to provide the Service to you, and nothing more. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from the app (You → Delete account).

Acceptable Use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:
  • Break the law or infringe others' rights through the Service
  • Probe, overload, or disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means outside the interfaces we provide
  • Resell the Service, share accounts, or circumvent subscription requirements
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Use the Service to give training, nutrition, or health advice to anyone else as though it were professional advice
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Third-Party Services

Paceo can connect to services you authorize, such as Apple Health, Strava, or external AI assistants. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them, for the accuracy of data they return, or for their availability. Disconnecting them in Paceo or revoking access at the provider stops further data exchange.

Availability and Changes to the Service

We work to keep Paceo available and improving, but features may change, and the Service may be interrupted, delayed, or unavailable. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that its calculations, plans, or data will be accurate or suitable for you, or that using it will produce any particular fitness, body composition, health, or performance result. Nothing in this section removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or fitness, health, or body composition outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. This includes loss or injury arising from your reliance on any plan, target, calculation, nutrition figure, or AI-generated response.

Our total liability for all claims taken together is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty euros.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs brought by a third party and arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or of anyone else's rights, or any advice or information you pass on to another person after getting it from Paceo.

Apple App Store Terms

These terms are between you and Paceo only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending any third-party claim that the app infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, on your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. The courts of Lebanon have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence, and nothing here prevents you from using an out-of-court dispute resolution body available to you.

General

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part applies to the fullest extent the law allows. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of our business, without reducing your rights. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you via email or an in-app notice before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
